Rabco began building boats in the early 1970s as a racing series called Memco Boats, designed by power boat legends Don Arronow and Carl Kiekhaefer. Rabco Boats, at that time, was primarily used to promote Mercury products like outdrives and outboards, known for their speed, efficiency, and stability. In 1993, Joel Dye purchased Rabco Marine from Randy Rabe and started building Center Consoles using the racing hull that became the Rabco Boat that is known today.
